First and foremost I am a very big Fabolous fan, I mean Huge.
I think Fab puts out some of the best guest verses and mixtapes
that come out, PERIOD! Last year he had one of the best verse
all year with his guest spot on Lil Wayne's "The Carter III"
Nothing on Me. With verses like this
"I'm with 101 niggas, we dalmatian doggy deepYou cant deny his flow, delivery, word play or potential.
And fly with the tongue, so if you feeling froggy leap (come on)
Kermit, you better think before you ribbit
Don't get murdered over your song, before you ad-lib it
I pop up like Xzibit, but given I'm at your crib it's
Not to put no fucking fish tanks in your Civic (nah)
Fuck getting your ride pimped, you'll get hog-tied wimp
Have you in the trunk curled up like fried shrimp (ha ha ha)
It's been a good year, maybe I should ride blimp (what you think?)
'Cause your boy just stay above the game
They trying to tag him, spray a brother frame
But your shots can't reach me, I'm way above your aim
Go 'head nigga, say another name (go 'head, go 'head)
Take this family for a joke, play them Wayan brother games
And Ima Git You Sucka, I be schemin' with this Keenan
Aimin with this Damon , I'm putting that Major Payne in
My lil' man is on ya, Marlon and Shawn ya (yeah)
Lay the beef on his noodle, make some Luger lasagna
40. Cal fettuccine, trey pound pasta
You reach for this medallion, you must like Italian nigga
You only see me pushing if the driver's tired (yess)
I work the S-6 ever since the 5 retired (yess)
The drop top, they say it's Ocean Drive inspired
So you can Call-A-Cab, once your bitch falls for Fab"
But see thats the problem, its always about potential with
Fab. His first 2 albums are average at best, his 3rd album
showed alot of promise, but the last one was well short of
what we all as Fabolous fans expected. So lets get into
this new album Loso's Way, hmmmm
Ok this album has alot of hype building up to its
release and I had to listen to of 3 times because I
wanted it to be good that bad. To be honest it
sounds a lot like a Rap/R&B album, a lot of R&B
guest slots, by Keri Hilson, Neyo, Ryan Leslie,
Marsha Ambrosius, Trey Songz, The Dream, and Jeremih.
The album starts off real hard with the intro.
It sounded like mixtape Fab, the Fab I love. Then it
goes into the 1st single "My Time", which I like,
because everyone can relate to that. "Imma Do Me"
is another strong cut. The 2nd single "Throw it In the Bag"
wasnt really that good to me, especially after hearing
the remix . Some other strong cuts include "Salute" ft
Lil Wayne, "There He Go Again" with a strong verse
from Paul Cain and Freck Millionare. "Faboulus Life"
ft Ryan Leslie is a real smooth track, So is the
Ne-yo dominated "Make Love", but my favorite
tracks has to come towards the end of the album,
where Fab meets his potential on great tracks like
"Pachanga", "Stay" ft Marsha Ambrosius and
"I Miss My Love" where he shows his story telling ability
and the true concept in which this album is suppose to be
based on. All in all, at first listen I was really disappointed,
but after a few listens, this is a album that I can get with,
it is all over the place, but overall its a step in the right direction
